Thank you for coming to my web site.  In my humble opinion, this means that you are interested in what I have to say.

 

October of 1997, just days after my birthday, I almost died.  My daughter, because of her quick actions, saved my life.  She was eight years of age at the time.  Due to stress, not eating properly and not getting enough sleep, I inadvertently compromised my immune system and made myself sick.

 

I had a seisure at home.  Later it occurred to me that at the time that this happened, I would have been in my car driving with my daughter.....this fact still bothers me to this very day!

 

I had a second seisure in the emergency room.  Diagnosis:  viral meningitis and massive loss of blood due to fibroid tumors.  I had a blood transfusion and was in the intensive care unit for one week - total time in the hospital, two weeks!

 

As an out-patient, I was given dilantin (125 mg).  This was extremely toxic in my system and I took myself off of it!  The crazy thing about this was that the doctor, who wrote the prescription (a neurologist), would first take my blood, several times over a period of time and send it to a lab.  He said that 'this was the level that I needed'.  Upon going to another neurologist (an angel), I was informed that 'this doctor did not know what he was talking about'!!!

   

This is when I started to question everything dealing with health.  Even as a child, I did not like to take medicines and as an adult, I was not going to be a "slave" to the pharmaceutical industry!!!

Now, listen to me:  I am not a vegetarian.  The foundation of my diet consists of fresh organic fruits and vegetables (juices and raw food recipes as well), wild caught fish/seafood (never farm raised) and turkey (breast meat only - free range and organic).  On rare occasions, I will have bacon or a hotdog (again, free range and organic).  I might also, during the holidays or on a special occasion, enjoy a glass of champagne, wine or beer (although I am not much of a drinker).  When I have a taste for it, I will go to a pizza parlor or a bakery.  No deprivation!!!

The health of your body starts from the inside.  It is very important what you put into your body, as well as what you don't put into your body.  Respect this fact.

Diet is the food that you put into your body for fuel, strength, energy and healing.  If  you use this word in any other form, it means that you are starving yourself.

We have an abundance of cells in our bodies (various types - 300 billion new cells everyday).  Health starts at a cellular level.

Sleep is extremely important!!!  Do not take this for granted!!!
